Love this varietal. Light golden color with even lighter green highlights. Aromas of lemon zest, white flowers, spice and a hint of petrol. Haven’t had a Lagrein in quite some time.
This is typically dark both in colour & flavour with fresh, ripe blueberries & huckleberries, some dark plums and a healthy pinch of exotic spice - anise, allspice, cardamom, black pepper.
On the palate this is silky & plush yet with vibrant acidity and nice juicy tannins. Good weight & length, with the wood perfectly integrated & showing a nice backdrop to the ripe fruit.
