No formal notes as this was the last wine served and I didn’t get enough time to examine in detail. Served blind. Medium ruby , quite wide garnet rim . Quite high toned , fresh red fruits , strawberry, raspberry , and touch of spice . Elegant and refined , very tensile . Quite fresh with spiced red cherry fruit , long and detailed , saline tinged on the finish . Impressive but very young , needs a bit more time really. Better in 5-10 years and will last well a further 10 or so. — 12 hours ago

2019 vintage.
Named after a little creek running between the vineyards and the Villa.
60 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Cabernet Franc from vineyards in Bolgheri and Maremma.
12 months in French and American Oak barriques…30 % new.
Deep, dark ruby red.
Red fruit, leather,toasty and herbal on the nose.
Dark plum, tobacco, bay leaf with finely grained tannins with medium acidity and a fresh finish.
This wine definitely punches above its weight.
It’s the little brother.
The big brother is Sor Ugo.

Very nice value langhe nebbiolo. Quite classic, starting with the color. Doesn’t have the depth or tannic seamlessness of some pricier wines, but still very well balanced with good fruit and earth and lifting acid. Nice. — 4 years ago

Tasted blind. Hint of heat on the nose ? 14.5%. Smooth cherry. Good grip. Rich. Not super interesting but great great fruit. Finished second to ugo Lequio in an 11 bottle blind tasting. By far the most expensive wine. — 6 years ago
