Cherry, plum and pomegranate fruit, with iron, graphite and herbal notes. Good QPR. — 5 months ago
Soft nose of dark berries. Delicate task of velvet dark fruit tannic dryness. finish. — 2 months ago
It was very acidity and a bit bland at first. Maybe it needed more time, but decanted for 3ish hours and it tasted a lot like mushrooms, balsamic, black currant and a touch of underbrush with forest floor- with a touch of oak and spice. It was tannic but there was a lack of something in the mid palate and fruit. As I drank the last glass after 5 hours of decanting, it started to open up beautifully. All the aforementioned characteristics but with a strong mid palate filled with dark fruit. Delicious. Not as good as other vintages but this is worth drinking but give it some time to decante. Maybe 4+ hours. — 2 months ago

I loved it would buy more when I find it. I would get into all the nuances of wine flavors that all the wine aficionado would say but hey just a serious good wine I’m not all the verbose. — a month ago

Paired with Bolognese sauce. Nice wine with food. 2022 vintage - really should have been decanted first. Solid depth and good fruit. Tannins hit up front a bit too much. — 7 months ago
This was the jewel of all of the wine options at this particular restaurant. Full-bodied, a bit fruit-forward; went well with both veal Marsala and lasagna. Bonus: the leftover wine, when corked and stored in the refrigerator, held up well for a week. — 2 months ago
scored a split on closeout and it was tasty! probably just starting its gentle decline w/some musty oxidative aromas, but it also had engaging smoke & spice, worn leather, sour cherry, red currant, hint of vanilla & cocoa, sweet soil and other earth driven elements. med bodied, well worn tannins and some acidity presented a fairly balanced palate. usually priced out of Brunello so this was a treat! — 2 months ago
Floral, earthy, just the right amount of brett. — 2 months ago

Lovely wine for a family barbecue, bright color, cherry & berry fruit. — 3 months ago
Nice Barolo with lots of limestone showing minerality and brightness. Still a little tight after 11 years, but it’s fantastic with a nice piece of beef. Floral on the nose with juicy choke cherry, leather, unsweetened coco, tobacco, raspberry preserves, and crushed blueberries on the palate. — 4 months ago

Nicely concentrated Sicilian red, with muscular tannins backed by deep and dark fruit with somewhat sharp acidity. Reminds me of a young California Central Coast red blend. Nice pairing with red sauce pasta but probably better after four or five years of softening in the bottle. Had the 2023 vintage with Paccheri Lisci (spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage, pecorino) from Jame Enoteca in El Segundo, CA. — a month ago
