Here’s the Ottella Lugana Le Creete (2021) hailing from the small DOC of Lugana on the edge of Lake Garda calling both Veneto and Lombardy its home.
It’s made with 100% Trebbiano di Lugana (aka Turbiana) and is pale lemon with medium(+) intensity of grapefruit peel, honeydew, passion fruit, green apple, gooseberry, white blossom, honeysuckle, wet stones, Italian parsley, fennel, boxwood, toast, and delicate aged, hard cheese notes…
It has mouthwatering acidity to balance the medium alcohol (13% ABV) and rich mouthfeel and aromatic/ flavor intensity. It’s positively delicious!! — 9 months ago
Delightfully fresh mineralogy white with almond fruit, great with fish. — a year ago
Not too sweet, slightly acidic but quite buttery. Good parts of a Chardonnay without a ton of oakiness or too much richness. — 3 years ago
My first Turbiana, or Trebbiano di Lugana but genetically a Verdicchio.
Nose of ripe stone fruits, lemon zest, wet stone, light white floral, and hint of almond. Medium to full body. Firm, vivid acidity provides good tension to the otherwise textured palate, finished with a medium mineral note.
This old vine riserva bottling is like a hybrid between Napa chard and Chablis. Will need to taste more Turbiana. — 4 years ago

Cantina Bulgarini Lugana DOC 2021: Medium-bodied. Great acidity. Fantastic structure & balance. Fragrant floral nose with delicate fruity flavors of peach, apricot & citrus. Nice minerality and a dry & crisp long finish. All in all, a very elegant & fresh Lugana wine, made from 100% Turbiana grapes. Very consistent & representative of the beautiful wines of this DOC. I am a big fan of Lugana wines! Great day to all! Cheers 🇮🇹🍷 — 2 years ago

This dry rosé is made from mostly Turbiana with a small amount of red wine grapes. It’s a versatile and refreshing food wine with subtle flavors that do not overpower the food flavors. There’s restrained strawberry fruits there, along with slight citrus tones amid a grassy tone to the body. — 4 months ago
