Treasury Wine Estates

St. Huberts

The Stag Paso Robles Red Blend 2019

$3 from the Treasury Employee Store. Very good price/value but they didn’t have anymore. Maybe they will get more in someday. — 2 years ago

19 Crimes

Reserve The Warden Red Blend 2021

Bought at the Treasury Employee store for $9. What a bargain. I’ve several of their other bottlings but never this one. Need to go back and buy more. — 2 years ago

Château de Gironville

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. One of the estates that was owned by the late Vincent Mulliez ( who died young in 2010) and sold ( together with Belle-Vue and Bolaire) to Treasury in 2021. This 2018 is the first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine in the history of the estate, and at the time, it was still consulted by Vincent Bache Gabrielsen, who is doing an amazing job at Pédesclaux these days. Cassis, leather, cedar, and a hint of graphite. Medium-bodied, with juicy black fruit and ripe tannin, balances by mouthwatering acidity. Very good value. — 2 years ago

Beaulieu Vineyard

Private Reserve Georges de Latour Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

100 points???…I don’t think so…but very nice. I bought at the Treasury employee store to celebrate the purchase of our home in Saint Helena. We closed on the last day of November and had dinner with our friends and new neighbors. Had side by side with the 2016 BV Private Reserve which I scored 95 points. — 3 years ago

Chateau St. Jean

Special Edition 45 Anniversary Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Château St Jean was one of my favorite wineries to visit when I first started visiting wineries in the late ‘70s. I got this from the Napa Treasury store about 3 years ago. Very tasty but lots of sediment. — 3 years ago

Beaulieu Vineyard

California Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Another Treasury Employee Store find for $8. Excellent price/value bottle of wine. I wish you could find this kind of wine on restaurant wine lists for their low end offerings. — 2 years ago

Beringer Vineyards

Penfolds

Bin 149 Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Blend of 85.1% Rutherford + Oakville (Treasury Wine Estates), 14.9% South Australia, Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, espresso, cedar and sweet floral notes, aged 16 months in new French (80%) and new American (20%) oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, raspberry and ripe black cherry with notes of cacao, vanilla and dried herbs. Fine firm tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, spice, oak and earthy mineral notes. Nice but need to wait a few years. — 3 years ago

The Max Schubert South Australia Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2018

Went to the Treasury employee store today and bought a few different Penfolds options. Trying this MAX’S tonight, 64% Shiraz, 36% CS. Love the blend. — 3 years ago

Seppelt

Chalambar Grampians Shiraz 2014

No formal notes but remains one of the value Dry Reds in Australia I believe - from Seppelts vast resources (Treasury Wine Estates). Red cherry and Red berries on nose and palate with earthy spicy nuances. Very easy to drink and would be accepted by all. Only $17.99 per bottle and I have 1 left. — 4 years ago

Chateau St. Jean

Cinq Cépages Sonoma County Red Blend 2016

Treasury Wine Estates is having their Spring wine sale. $90 list, selling for $72. 95+ points. I bought this last year from the Treasury employee store and don’t think I paid that much. A bit disappointing last night. Used to like the wine better two decades ago when you could get it for less than $30. I won’t buy any more at the sale price. — 5 years ago

The Uprising Shiraz Blend 2011

Another pleasant wine from 19 Crimes. $6 from the Treasury employee store. What a bargain for a bottle that doesn’t break the bank and is palatable. — 2 years ago

Bin 28 Kalimna South Australia Shiraz 2018

I got this way too cold so best analysis was destroyed. Need to try again at the proper temperature. $20 at the Treasury store. — 2 years ago

Castello di Gabbiano

Riserva Cavaliere d'Oro Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2017

A Treasury employee store purchase. Not remembering the price point but suspect it was low. Pleasant enough. Different from the usual CA cabs that I enjoy but a nice change of pace. — 3 years ago

19 Crimes

Snoop Dogg Cali Red Petite Sirah Blend 2019

Our bottle doesn’t say Petite Syrah, just “red wine”. Bought from Treasury employee store at a nice discount. Tasted more expensive wines that weren’t as good as this one. — 3 years ago

Château de Sainte Gemme

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2018 vintage. At the time owned by the Bouteiller family ( Château Lanessan), but recently all the Bouteiller holdings were bought by Australian giant Treasury. Easy-drinking, charming Haut-Médoc. Terrific value too ( 9.99 euro with a 2,50 euro promotional discount in a supermarket!). — 3 years ago
