Close friend gifted us this over 15 years ago. This has stood still and I’m loving it. Typical Bdx profile displaying saddle leather, wood and smoke from the barrel toast. Tannins are moderate and standing tall. Outstanding in my book. — 2 months ago

Inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Full-bodied and bold with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, black currants, tobacco leaf, earth, light vegetables, cola, pencil lead, peppercorn and herbs.
Long finish with soft tannins and cherries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Chile. Rich and extracted. Showing nice balance and mouthfeel.
Needs an hour to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Wine Advocate 94 points. Wine Spectator 92 points.
Fruit forward and a good sipping wine. Will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Carmenere and 5% Merlot. Aged in (10% new) French Oak barrels for 12 months.
15% alcohol by volume.

Second take in a few months. My prior notes apply. It’s still a delicious blend of red and white grapes co-fermented in a delicious, playful yet a bit complex style nevertheless with a nice play on textures on the palate, with a chalky texture at first that gives way to gentle tannins. Nice cherry and wild strawberries notes on the nose and in the palate, very round mid palate with these gentle, caressing tannins, very focused and strong acid drive, rather long finish with red fruit, that textural element in the mouthfeel, with these chalky/tannic layers and that acid drive. It packs the quaffable qualities of the best, fruity and carbonic beaujolais, with the textural quality and complexity of good white wines. What’s not to be liked here ?
