Young and fine. Modest dark fruits, very light tannins, medium bodied, pleasant nose and finish post-aeration. Not much spice in the 2018. Very good for the price. — 5 years ago
Really smooth and great finish. — 6 years ago
A new favorite. Great tobacco and spice flavors play off the blackberry. Medium body, very low acid. — 7 years ago
The Clark & Telephone Vineyard PN gave me a long lasting impression, and this Las Alturas is very similar in style in its richness and intensity.
Ripe plum, blackberry jam, eucalyptus, fig, black tea, and Chinese medicinal herbs bursting on the nose. Palate has more texture and a more elegant feel with dark chocolate and spice. Firm and a bit dusty tannins. This tastes more like a blend of Zinfandel and Cab. Nice! But again this is not the type of PN I like. — 7 years ago
Fresh and juicy Chardonnay. Lemon is the dominant flavor. Good stuff. — 8 years ago

As usually happens in life we sometimes have great surprises... this guy is a prime example of that..an increadable value coming out of the great down under. Dark plum acetone and spice to the nose. Slightly sweet plum dark fruit followed by licorice spice pepper to the palate. Nice mouthfeel but a bit watery on the back end. Velvety tannins and a med plus finish. A very enjoyable experience at an amazing value. — 8 years ago
Pleasant cheer and dry finish — 5 years ago
Still really nice, but I think not for much longer. Much better with food than on its own. — 5 years ago
Vintage 2016 — 7 years ago
Aged for 16 months in 25% new oak barrels, this wine displays all the right notes of that exposure and is not overblown. Only three barrels of this wine were made - some 60 barrels - and it hits 12.9% abv. It is praised as an elegant wine, the kind Pinot Noir lovers love to love. Medium dark, this medium weight wine shows a nose of cola, black tea, orange peel and spices. The palate is smooth and almost silky. The tannins are just enough and the acidity is perfect. Tart berries, tea notes and spice flavors all play in harmony. The wine is smooth without laying down, exciting without being boorish. — 8 years ago
Would rate this 9.1 for the Black Cherry, damson plum and sandalwood spice nose, but lower for the palate, which shows nicely sweet fruit but lacks the spice and drive I’d really like to see from a good Vosne village wine in a vintage like 2010. Still, that nose tho... — 8 years ago
