Excellent blend, small lot wine. Very low tannins, smooth and extremely drinkable! — 7 years ago
Sniffy Sniff: Raspberry, black fruit and spicy notes. Swirl: Smooth as silk, ripe red berries and a spicy tinge on the back end. This is really good Pinot for my palate. Wow. P.S. Somehow I found the stash on my porch today without signing. I will use this wine shop again for sure eh! 🇨🇦 — 8 years ago
The reason I fell in love with wine, popped my cherry or grape I should say. I was 19 and took this from my fathers stash, definitely got in trouble but it was worth it! — 8 years ago
The raid of @Harry Hackett 's stash continues. Thanks buddy! — 8 years ago
The 2010 Auguste Favier Reserve is drop dead gorgeous with it’s fresh and bright ripe strawberry tones, giving way to zesty red florals, sweet smoke, white pepper and dusty cedar. It’s velvety on the palate, yet not weighty, instead poised and remarkably fresh, as red and blue fruits cascade across the senses over a core of brisk acids, leaving a mineral twang with savory spiciness. The finish is long and structured, with youthful tannins still holding something back for the years to come, yet still so alive and focused on purity of fruit. The 2010 is worth checking in on, but don’t forget to keep a stash in your cellar for at least the next five to ten years. Wow. — 5 years ago
From Tom Bakers private stash. Thanks Ztom!! — 7 years ago
Enjoying the end of my Rosé stash from the weekend’s party. A delicate pink colour with a very fine, dry palate. Equally delicate notes of strawberries, rose petals, crushed gravel and orange peel. Continues to be one of my all time favourite Provençal rosés and a definite perfect summer patio sipper.
Grape varietals: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault — 7 years ago
Bright and vivid fruits, precision but not pretentious — 8 years ago
Enjoyed this--especially on day two. At turns like a Pauillac but then hits you with floral notes that add further complexity and elegance. Would love to stash a case of this to see it evolve. Great second wine. — 8 years ago
Last bottle. I would typically stash away such a classic vintage, but this one was too tempting. Gorgeous balance and love the undertow of all that stuffing. — 8 years ago
Really nice bottle of wine. For me the thing that stands out is that it is so drinkable right now. There is some vicious legs on this puppy and I am going to stash a few bottles in the cellar to see what a little age would do. Great pick @Todd Abrams — 9 years ago
Fun to check in, sad Pops unknowingly drank most of my stash 🤦🏼♂️ Reductive showing at first but eventually opened up. Brett in check. Savory meat, clove, potpourri and garrigue, baked stones and mixed fruits. Lovely! — 6 years ago
The Northern Rhône example in our little, impromptu North/South face-off during Christmas Eve dinner. This is a European bottled version of “Les Journaries” which is labeled there as “La Maestria”. Most of the grapes are sourced from Levet’s holdings in La Landonne. The bottle was opened about two hours prior and probably would have benefitted from being opened two days prior in retrospect. That being said, this was stunning...and positively feral. Underbrush, herbs, brambles, flowers, meat, anise, and cinnamon bark on the nose and on the palate. As striking as this is right now, the best is yet to come and these will deliver even more joy in 10-15 years. These wines are a beautiful little secret. If you must, drink after a rather protracted decant otherwise stash these deep in the cellar. For those wondering, we paired a 2009 Domaine de Beaurenard “Boisrenard” as the Southern Rhône example which, while massively different in style, was stunning in its own right. — 6 years ago
What a great wine for $30. It's concentrated, but velvety soft on the edges. Oiled leather, crushed rocks, dried flower petals, clove, and black currant are all ingredients to the inviting, yet soft perfume. The wine has a concentrated dark purple hue, and firm, yet forgiving tannins - a medley of red and blue fruits, Earl Grey Tea, vanilla, and green coffee bean to the finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this wine and wouldn't mind having a stash of this.. yum! 75% Merlot 25% Cabernet Franc. — 8 years ago

Already elegant and delicious if a little toit like a toiger. Should open up wonderfully in years to come. To bad I’ll have drunk my stash already. — 5 years ago
