It is just a generic Chianti, not a Classico, but to be honest it's a great example of a vibrant, easy drinking, no brainer Sangiovese from that area.

For the price ot is a must go wine that has a too small recipient.

Rufina worth reaching for. Tannins, acidity, fruit all playing a wonderful Symphony together! Had another bottle of this last night, & got a great floral character in the mid palate. Just enough complexity to keep the recipient engaged. — 4 years ago

This is a red called Focu from Racina Wine from the Costa Viola in Calabria, located just in front of the Messina Strait.
Field blend, perhaps mainly greco Nero, but it has every red varieties that you could find in the vineyard so it is really hard to tell
Carbonic fermentation
It has a little fizz, gentle and pleasant i must say
It is a 'vino contadino' or 'peasant wine' 2.0, or just a better version if you prefer
Super easy drinking and no edges or harshness at all
The one litre recipient is needed

An amazingly complex blend showing both the terroir of this region while impressing on the recipient the able craftsmanship of this finely blended cab, merlot & can franc. Great acid and tannic blend that’s ready now and should hold up for a decade or more. One of the best wines I’ve enjoyed in years. — 5 years ago
