A wonderfully balanced structure with a fantastic mouthfeel and supple, lingering, but never overpowering tannins. — 7 years ago

Thanks @Cathy Corison for this fantastic, balanced, dark fruited Napa Cabernet! At 13.6%, the 2nd glass was better than the first. I loved this with burgers! — 9 years ago

No formal notes on this one , but really shows well . Drinking well with nice spicy blackberry and herbal touches on the nose. Fills out well on the palate too with good dark fruits touch of menthol and herbal finish . Very well balanced , quite light weight for a Chave Hermitage but as there is no comparison this evening the wine is just a joy to drink . Now but will still be going strong over the next 5 - 10 years . — 3 years ago
Tasted blind, I would’ve guessed a mature Bordeaux. Fantastic. — 7 years ago
2012 RRV has aged well...not as fruit forward as in its youth...a joy to drink — 7 years ago
BV grapes were first planted back in 1900, by founder Georges de Latour. A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon & 6% Petit Verdot. A Wow factor wine!! Outstanding! Deep dense red with complex berry fruit aromas adding in toasty floral spice. On the palate big full flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet plum flavors with licorice and cacao, adding cedar and cacao notes. Soft velvet tannins, young, lingering finish, well integrated and nicely balanced, a joy to drink. Will age a long time. Wait, don’t be tempted — 8 years ago
A joy to experience...gone too quickly — 9 years ago
Fantastic 95 Super Tuscan. Nose had hints of vanilla, soft earth a light spice. On open was smooth if a touch flat then after 45 minutes it opened to let dark fruit notes of blackberries and cassis come out. Sublime. — 10 years ago
Always fantastic. Took 30 min mutes to really open up. Classic and delicious — 7 years ago
A beautiful wine that ended a run of fantastic Phelps Insignia vintages. Unfortunately, more recent vintages have not met this standard. — 7 years ago
Thank you @Steve Haro ! Great start to Xmas. Absolutely fantastic! — 7 years ago

Showing beautifully tonight! Well done — 9 years ago
This and the 1982 Lynch Bages both were fantastic. The 1982 was riper and more lush, but the 1985 was a bit more complex. Both drinking great at the moment. — 9 years ago

The most showy bottle I’ve had of this wine, 95 Mouton is in a terrific place, and an absolute classic, with Paulliac power and concentration, fine grained tannins and hugely persistent finish. Fantastic with the legendary EMP duck! — 7 months ago
