No formal notes on this one , but really shows well . Drinking well with nice spicy blackberry and herbal touches on the nose. Fills out well on the palate too with good dark fruits touch of menthol and herbal finish . Very well balanced , quite light weight for a Chave Hermitage but as there is no comparison this evening the wine is just a joy to drink . Now but will still be going strong over the next 5 - 10 years . — 2 years ago
Ruby with complex fruit aromas, spice and oak. Blend of 89% Tempranillo & 11% Graciano, aged 48 months on American oak. On the palate flavors of jammy dark berry fruits with spice & smoky earthy notes on ripe full soft tannins. Long finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with fruit, oak, cigar box spice and mineral earthy tones, a joy to Sip this Fine Wine!! Tasting great, has more aging potential! — 3 years ago
Always fantastic. Took 30 min mutes to really open up. Classic and delicious — 6 years ago
A beautiful wine that ended a run of fantastic Phelps Insignia vintages. Unfortunately, more recent vintages have not met this standard. — 6 years ago
2012 RRV has aged well...not as fruit forward as in its youth...a joy to drink — 7 years ago

Absolutely fantastic! Fruit has fallen and given way to savory notes on the nose. Thyme, oregano, baking spices , nutmeg, tomato bisque. Great acidity and fruit lingering. Almost a bramble note of rhubarb and cherry pie. Astonishingly well balanced and huge at 13.6% — 2 years ago
What a joy to find this bottle at a NYC steakhouse. It’s been a while. Initially turned on by these ancient Lebanese vineyards and organic practices. And blending fruit that we are Las Jaras use. Drinking well for being a ‘16. VA a bit high but reminiscent of some wilder Barolo — 2 years ago
Fantastic ... blackberry, plum and some oaky flavor. Delicious — 6 years ago

Vino Joe
Fantastic and seemed even more mature than 13 years. Dark dark but smooth and developed. It’s a focused wine in great balance. No complaints but you can tell it was a bit below the heights for Latour. Double decanted and enjoyed over 4+ hours. — 9 months ago
