Solid red blend. But sold as full bodied, which it is not. Light drinking. Suitably dry. — 2 months ago

Cherries forever. Coffee. Marzipan. Expressive and agile. Slight funky undertones. The prettiest girl at the dance — 9 years ago
Plum, prune notes with molasses lingering notes. Very smooth. — a month ago
A big wine! Four hour decant was just right for this 1998 edition! — a month ago
Deep, dark ruby coloration. Almost black. No translucency. Heavy tearing. On the nose, dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, currant, tobacco, forest floor and florals. On the palate, full body, lush mouth feel, strong minerality, with jammy black currant, anise, pepper, followed by a long finish of chocolate, forever, and hints of mint. Nicely balanced tannins. Outstanding wine. — 2 months ago
Excellent medium bodied dry red. Had with lasagna and paired spectacularly. — 3 months ago
Paired with Bolognese sauce. Nice wine with food. 2022 vintage - really should have been decanted first. Solid depth and good fruit. Tannins hit up front a bit too much. — 3 months ago

Very nice. A little more sophisticated than our usual Montepulciano. Incredibly smooth. Easy going easy drinking. Can’t wait for the pasta to be done — a month ago

2007 vintage drinking very well - was almost ready out of the bottle but improved with a few hours in the decanter. Wonderful red fruit on the palate with strawberries, raspberries and red cherries. Alcohol was slightly perceptible. This is in a good place and seems unlikely to improve much, but nowhere near a state of decline. Fruit is still quite primary with nice acidity — 5 months ago
Beautifully aged, enjoyed in 2024, great balance of dark fruits, mellow tannins, and a touch of acid. Great wine! — 7 months ago
Great for an Aperol Spritz or neat in a glass. — 3 years ago

Drinking in 2025. Has aged well. Beautiful and fragrant nose of dark cherries, tobacco, snd vanilla followed by spices and hints of herbs on the palate. Time has no doubt mellowed the tannins and transitions to a longish smooth finish. Acidity still present and will continue to age well. Suspect lower ratings reflect people drinking this wine young. — a month ago
