2018 vintage. Lovely dry mix of flavors — 2 months ago
This is only the second Tannat I’ve ever had and it good but not great. Missing some finer complexity to the wine but I was grateful to find it in the “other reds” section. — 2 months ago
2011 vintage on July 2024. Strong and good. Paired with local grilled pork sausages. In K — 20 days ago
Bought this just to “try” with several friends at a home get together of several grilled meats; pork, beef and lamb “pieces”. The wine seemed to work nicely with all. Deep, strong hints of fruit and good tannin; I was a bit surprised because of the blends but found it to be a keeper. It has become one of our favorite wines to bring to others when visiting! Good reviews from all who received it!

Great value at this price point!! — 5 months ago
Inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Showing black fruits with wood, earth, light herbs, chocolates, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a nice and interesting tannant from Uruguay. Smoky, spicy, and feels like a Californian Syrah.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.
Good by itself or with food.
14% alcohol by volume.

28% Tannat, 24% Tempranillo, 24% Syrah, 22% Grenache, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon (so beyond weird why Delectable calls this Cabernet Sauvignon??), this “Home Vineyard” was always the most highly-allocated and difficult to buy of Hank’s wines, but he was always kind enough to sell me 2-3 or more bottles, so huge kudos to @Hank Beckmeyer for that!!
Color is still quite purple/red, I’m getting aromatics that suggest Tannat/Tempranillo mostly, not Syrah/Grenache, shows a fair degree of ripeness (14.3% ABV, different from many of the post-2011 cuvées), tannins are smooth, long finish, I’ve always loved this particular LCF red wine!! — 2 months ago
Drinking well right now. Soft tannins. Dark red fruit and plum notes with a long and smooth finish. — 5 months ago

Darkly floral and intense, the 2021 Casual Encounters blends black raspberries with cedar shavings, tobacco, and exotic spice. This is elegant in feel, with silken textures and decadently ripe red berry fruits. Cooling acidity maintains a fantastic balance as dark chocolate and balsamic spice firm up the finish, tapering off long and gently tannic. The 2021 is juicy yet expertly balanced.
