This one had a floral thing going on and it was beautiful. I quickly moved on after seeing the price tag. However, a week later, I'm still thinking about it. A full week of tastings and this is one of two or three that I just have to try again. — 10 years ago

High price tag but a bit young despite 2005 vintage. Very elegant and pretty though. — 12 years ago
After being completely disappointed with the 2010 and feeling like I bought the "Emperor's New Wine," the 2011 blew me away. Leaves me wondering if the 2010 was flawed because this one was amazing. Smooth, brooding but balanced after a two hour decant - on the palate: beautiful and intense dark fruits, cocoa, faintest minerality, silky tannins. I'm still not entirely sure it's worth the price tag and the "luxury" themed marketing of it sorely undercuts the serious juice in the bottle. This was wine of the (early) night...and a nice surprise given I expected not to like it and for a 2011 I'm blown away. — 10 years ago
Though young, this wine is showing very, very well. From Priorat in Catalunya, Spain, it's got a lot of smoke and flowers on the palate. After opening up for about an hour, you'll start to really get some nice minerality and spice. I'm really liking the medium finish on this one, as well. Pairs well with barbecue and Mediterranean seafood dishes. A quality Spanish wine that definitely offers value above its price tag.

A spectacular example of Nahe Riesling at a price tag under $30! More balance of fruit, aromatics and minerality than one expects in this price point — 11 years ago

Mycket välsmakande med viss beska från skalen. Fungerar mycket bra till punsch perlin — 11 years ago
Appearance: clear clarity, medium intensity, garnet. Nose: clean condition, medium intensity, aroma - cigar, black berry, fruitcake, stewed prune. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium (+) chalky tannin, flavour - dark cherry, chocolate, smoky, long finish. Conclusion, very good and approachable cab-sauv, great value for its price tag ($33), alcohol and flavour greatly integrated. — 12 years ago
This was actually really good. Is it worth the hefty price tag though? I don't know, but then again, what wine really is? This is definitely one of those once in a life time type of wines to drink, and I'm grateful to have had the pleasure of trying this beast. — 10 years ago
The only Wagner wine that deserves the price tag, in my opinion. Beautifully soft entry and finish, very right-bank-ish on the nose but with very high extraction (it is a Wagner product afterall). Dense dark cherry and a mouthfeel that hits all the right spots. Very nice actually, I just wish it was a bit cheaper. — 10 years ago

Fumé means smoked and this white lives up to that title. Layers of flinty smokey funky flavors. Hard to believe it's Sauvignon Blanc. — 11 years ago
