Without having a basis for comparison, this is a nice wine. Upon opening the nose is cherry with a touch of floral, high alcohol and light body color. Taste similarly, light with lots of cherry, smoke, tobacco, leather and tart but not fully integrated yet. As it decanted, the flavors started to meld yet never subsiding in its structure. Red Sox are finishing up a disappointing season, but this wine is definitely not disappointing. Nose is deeply fruity, with intense and pure red fruit and the barest whiff of gravel. In the mouth it’s fruity, pure, deep, dry, and balanced. If Le Marche made Beaujolais, this would be its Morgon. Fantastic value in a weekday dinner wine. — 3 years ago
