I am a fan of their work. This wine is so weightless, soft & gentle, it might float on water.

I met Toby Bekker in Australia who I thought his Grenache and Syrah wines were made in a Burgundian style. I asked him about his time in Burgundy and if that influenced his wines. He said, there he learned what not to take from grapes/wine. This is a shinning example of what he was taking about.

The fruits are perfectly ripe, floral & extracted. Cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, rhubarb tones, plums, haunting raspberries, light & softly layered baking spices- clove cinnamon, nutmeg & vanillin, understated red cola & licorice, excellent oak use-barrel powder, hints of dry herbs, understated dry twig, hints of grilled meats, notes of dry tobacco w/ ash, soft used leather, red flowers, red & pink flowers, excellent acidity and a well balanced, softly waking tension with grace and elegance on the two-minutes that lands gently on spice & earth.

Blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, smoke and flinty notes, aged 40% new French oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with cacao, cedar, espresso and spicy notes. Lively acidity, firm dusty tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, tobacco and spicy oak. Blend of about 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon, aged in oak for 8 months. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with biscuit and floral notes. On the palate flavors of peach, golden apple and melon with white floral and herb notes. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herb and yeasty notes, lively acidity with slight smoky mineral character. Very nice. Bold but not abrasive with alcohol like younger Bordeaux can be. Cab dominant but can tell the Merlot is there too - balanced but you can still tell the cab comes first. 2014 vintage. Last tasted 07.04.25 (9.3) and 01.30.25 (9.3). Decanted with some sed and tasted after 30 mins. Consistent with previous tastings in 2025. Hint of richness up front, then very businesslike afterwards. Fairly dry but began to fold a modicum of fruit into the proceedings a spell ago. Quintessential, affordable BDX with a decade of service tendered out in the boonies but back in town again and starting to hit the hot spots. Lean but not mean. Strike up the conversation in the next year or so and you two just might hit it off. 09.25.25. — 3 months ago

Dense dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, spices, dark coffee, vegetables, herbs and black pepper.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruit forward with blackberries, black currants, black plums, tobacco leaf, cedar, light earth, spices, dark coffee, herbs, dark chocolates, peppercorn and black tea.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from the great 2010 vintage in Bordeaux. Rich and extracted. Complex and engaging. Powerful and spicy.

Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. Fruit forward and interesting.

Drinking very nicely now and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food, like a big piece of steak.

A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. Aged in (60% new) French Oak barrels for 21 months.
