Dense and lovely - this wine shows bright, rich fruits, raspberry pie, unsweetened blackberry jam, hints of Provençal herbs with a lip smacking tanginess, and elderberry acidity.

Give me a Skurnik find any day.

Covid-19 wine #2: virtually shared with home boy at dusk. Portuguese Baga, give it air as has a delicate but Nebbiolo-ish shade. 12.5%, Skurnik importer. I’m enjoying Portugal now. A serious Pfalz qualitatswein, I think. Such minerality & layers, with an edge of sweetness but just alluded to. In a almost completely Trocken style but not. I don’t know this maker well but oozes quality. Refreshing after a Mets loss. Thiesse/ Skurnik importer. — 6 years ago
