2012 judge bell, Zinfandel, Amador County. 100% Amador nose and jammy fruit. Great to share with relatives so that I can keep the high acid wines to myself. Not my palate preference but I enjoyed the bit that I had!!

My first opportunity to try one of Turley's new Sierra Foothills zins. Not my favorite of theirs, but still nice and brings the Turley style while featuring recognizable Amador terroir.

Tasting through the fall wines w/Skurnik crew, got to try this new (to NYC) wine. Planted 1907 on it's own roots. #amadorftw

Slightly corked which was a bummer because the underlying fruit appeared pretty solid. Muscled thru the bottle because the cork taint was only noticeable by me.

Rich and smooth, but a shade sweet and lacking a bit of the spice that makes the best Turley Electric to drink.
