Mazzoni's 2015 Ghemme Ai Livelli is gorgeous. Floral and savory notes infuse the bouquet with notable presence. Light on its feet, yet wonderfully layered, the 2015 is super expressive right out of the gate. There's quite a bit of complexity, while the tannins are nicely mellowed by time. That makes for an incredibly appealing wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2022)

Cherries, berries, violet and dried herbs. Balanced and age worthy. — 7 years ago
Dark ruby core with a garnet/orange rim. Aromas of tobacco, forest floor, leather and ripe red and black fruit. Flavors of mushrooms, cranberry, black cherry and blackberry fruit on the palate with additional hints of cocoa powder and baking spices. Long, silky and smoky finish with extremely gentle tannins. Medium bodied (nicely aged) and a creamy texture. Thank you for sharing this one, Ron B! Revisited in September 2025. Outstanding wine. — 5 months ago

Dedication ,labor of love, patience and traditional attention to the details results in this excellent and smooth savory wine. Rich medium red, ripe red plum followed with a pleasant peppery suggestion. Great wine, excellent pairing with Shrimp Diablo. — 5 years ago
Very close to my idea of a desert island wine. At 13% it has more smooth edges but that lovely thread of acidity common to its more expensive & jagged Vallana cousins. Dark red fruits, violets, tree bark. Juicy too, the tannins are pretty integrated. Skurnik importer. — 6 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2018 “Il Rosso delle Donne” pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart, mostly red fruits: Morello cherry, raspberries, strawberry, roses, a whiff of horse blanket, red rope licorice, dried green herbs, and dry gravel. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is a slightly wild but positively gorgeous example of a Nebbiolo-based blend from Alto Piemonte. There’s an old school feel about this that completely charms the heart. Too bad there is so little of it: the entire Boca DOC has less than 50 acres planted to vine. Castello Conti only made 3912 bottles of this gem. Drink now through 2048+. — 7 months ago

Light, strawberry notes on a surprisingly balanced (full) wine. Many notes like straw, citrus shavings and a touch of raspberry jam, without sweetness. Would definitely drink again. — 4 months ago
