2007 Christmas! — 5 months ago
I’ve been a fan of these bubbles for a long time, and was happy to grab a few late disgorged of this and the JSchram.
In all honesty, this came across so much more BdB/JSchram than I ever expected. When comparing to the 2010 Reserve I had last year, this came across much more crisp, bright and chard heavy as opposed to Pinot. Hardly any nougat, roasted cashews, etc. Much more lemon scone, pear, white peach, tiny bit of ginger, and white chocolate. Gorgeous layers and mousse.
Kudos to the team keeping this as fresh as it is after disgorging in 2021. I normally prefer the Reserve early, but based on this, this will cruise 10-15+yrs easy. — a year ago
Great tartness, rich apple and pear, smooth and creamy vanilla, fewer bubbles. Soooo good! — 3 years ago
Well balanced with bursting flavors of plum with lead pencil notes — 4 years ago
A beautiful pink/peach color, with a dry fruity and flowery fragrance.
Drinks dry and smoothly with very subtle flavors of strawberry. Pretty light on the palate and finishes smoothly…very easy to drink!!
At Costco (randomly), for like $24-ish?! — 5 months ago
Popped and poured. The 2020 BdN is actually 90% Pinot Noir with Chardonnay making up the balance. It’s predominately red fruited with red plums and bright, tart raspberries along with some lemon citrus too. Loads of minerals. The acid is impressive. It sort of became edgy as it warmed but this is a refreshing aperitif. — 7 months ago

A nice refreshing bubbly for Christmas morning — 2 years ago
Brut rose. Combination of chardonnay and pinot noir grates provides excellent taste — 3 years ago
Mint and pear on the nose. Upfront there’s a really interesting impression of cotton candy or bubblegum. Then I get a mild apple cider vinegar and tart pear note. Finishes with a strong lemon oil linger. Aged pretty nicely, only a hint of ferment that I actually kind of linked! — 3 years ago
Balanced, crisp tartness, hints of rhubarb, creamy finish. Complex, very enjoyable. — 5 months ago

@Delectable Wine : This is the Late Disgorged BdB.
My bottle as part of a bubbles lineup with a local group. Other standouts were 2008 Cristal, 2004 Dom, Krug 168, Schramsberg Reserve LD 2004, and the unanimous winner, 2004 Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Millenaire.
Lots of fun comparing this to the 2004 LD Reserve version. I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of older Schramsberg and my thoughts remain the same…JSchram with age is my preference whereas I love the Reserve young.
Super leesy. 17yrs on the lees to be exact. It sports a baked profile aromatically (baked tropical fruits), fresh lemon scone, orange marmalade, and honey roasted nuts. Rich and full-bodied on the palate with a profile reminiscent of aged Le Mesnil. Great acidity and mousse. Slight truffle flair, alongside caramel apple, baking spices, and buttered honey braid. The only note missing from this to make it a dead ringer for old champagne is limestone. Otherwise, this was gorgeous. The Reserve shows much more youth at this age as well as red berry fruit, but texturally, this can’t be beat. Drink up. — a year ago
