Grabbed this wine for Christmas wine and cheese. Nice straw color, aroma is up front with minerality and earthiness but has delicate floral and pear/apple undertones. Flavor is delicate citrus, apple blossoms, and hay balanced with a soft acidity. Overall a nice delicate wine that probably doesn't pair well bar cheese and summer sausage but drinks nicely on its own. Would buy again. — 5 years ago
Cherry, earthy, and oak @San Polino — 6 years ago
A 100% sangiovese grape wine this balanced is rare. A hidden gem in he heart of Tuscany this wine had a hint of tart flavor that mixed well with the beef tartare. I plan to drink the whole bottle before the first meal arrives. — 7 years ago
This was singing on opening. Room filling aroma of dark cherry & spice. Fruit forward on the palate with lots of layers - primarily dark cherry clove anise, and wet autumn leaves. Long lingering mouth stimulating finish. Delightfully stimulating. — 7 months ago
The 2013 vintage enjoyed Classic cool weather, and the 2013 San Polo reveals what old time Brunellos were like prior to global warming. It is medium bodied, colorful, with persistent fruit and underbrush aromatics; flavorsome, balanced, crisp and energetic with refined tannins. Lovely wine. — 9 months ago

100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. The fruit is bold, but it keeps the noteworthy tannins and alcohol in lovely balance. Oaky on the finish but not overpowering. Beautiful wine. Thank You so much, Kase. — 4 years ago

love this, would buy again- lots of flavor for a light body. minerality, salinity, light effervescence, great mouth feel — 9 months ago
This Italian white wine sports a nose full of minerals and hard citrus with a nice savory streak to back it up. The straw-colored juice has a fantastic salinity on the palate, which is mostly minerals. The mouthfeel is a bit fuller than expected, but acidity is bright and fresh. Pair this wine with seafood, especially shellfish or a creamy chowder.
