Nice complexity and smoky. A stones throw from capri — 9 months ago
The 2018 Rosso Ischia Piana wafts up with a classic Aglianico bouquet of musky blackberry, scorched earth and crushed stone, filling the palate with a polished display of ripe red/black fruits and violet florals. It’s incredibly long with concentration framed by sweet tannins. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, October 2021) — a year ago
Delicious black fruit and herbs — 3 months ago
good but unbalanced. Where fiano should be elegant and restrained this is ripe/tropical, viscous and high alcohol. It’s good but it forsakes typicity — 6 months ago

A medium-to full-bodied red that is well-balanced. The tannins encourage the cherry and spice flavors to open up. The profile slowly shifts (after it has been opened ) to introduce it’s ancient Mediterranean heritage of mineralogy, spices of oregano and olives. The long finish connects all the flavors to allow for complete enjoyment. Italian Wine at its best. — 2 months ago
