Well balanced and citrusy notes. Low dosage. Yet not as good as a similar low dosage NV Bereche I had a few days ago. — 4 years ago
A striking rose gold color in the glass; I don't recall this catching my attention so much on all prior bottles!
Nose has oxidized pear, orange zest and fresh brioche.
Palate has tart tangerine, lemon pith, white grapefruit and under-ripe raspberry. Great acidity but balanced creamy notes.
Disgorged January 2021; Dosage 7 G/L; 2018 base vintage.
Always a must-buy wine, fantastic value. — 4 years ago

Good flavor and went well with lasagna. — 9 months ago
If I had rated this one the night I opened it, I would have given it a slightly lower score. At first, I caught aromas of leather and meat drippings and flavors of sundried tomatoes. A couple of nights later, the wine had opened up nicely and had more floral and spice aromas and flavors of red berries and earth. Needless to say, an interesting wine, indeed. And from the Canary Islands! Huh. 90% Listan Negro, 10% Castellana Negra. 9/1/22. — 3 years ago
2021 vintage. The best, sub $20 resto cost Napa/Sonoma Zin I've had in ages. May hafta pick up a few cases. Excellent balance and concentration throughout. Gives me hope for CA Zinfandel that I've not had in nearly two decades. That's a whole lotta Zin under the bridge. 0 — 9 months ago

Paul Draper’s note on the back label said this would be “at its best for the next 7-8 years” but I’m afraid he’s sold his wine a bit short. It’s still going strong after 2+ decades. Beautiful Zinfandel-driven blend with supple and ripe black fruit, smoke and vanilla spice — 4 years ago

This was crazy!!! 1hr+ decant. Dessert in a glass. Dark red/purple color. Candied blue and black fruit dominate. Hints of cedar and a touch of coffee on the end. Wow!! — 6 months ago
