Amazing freshness! Rudi is the Boss! — 13 years ago
Can’t imagine paying $100+ for this, but it is a viscous, layered, tropical stunner. Pineapple and apricot spread to every corner of the palate with a long, luxurious finish. Teriyaki glazed pork? Soup dumplings? What to pair this with? Awesome wine with another fifteen years ahead of it. — 6 years ago
Petrol-forward, slightly oxidized nose. Massively floral, great ripeness. Peach, honey, golden apple, electric mouthfeel and taut with minerality. Impeccable concentration of fruit- such intensity yet so much delicacy. Superb with my green shrimp curry. One of my favorite producers from the Rudi Wiest portfolio, particularly for its value. — 8 years ago

Very tasty after it opened up! — 13 years ago
One of the most profound & satisfying gruner’s I’ve had. Notes of white pear, daffodils, green peas, white pepper, with floral and almost marzipan qualities all come together harmoniously & dance on the tongue & drives home with an intense mineral backbone. Beautiful. — 8 years ago
Yellow apple, over ripe pear, white raisin, green plum. — 8 years ago
Wine-guy lemonade!
This bottle is true to form. Bright with lingering acidity & slight effervescence, yet rounded with developing honeyed orange, candied apricot, and sharp green pear notes. Was curious on how 2011's were coming along so I pulled the cork. Recommended one serving per bottle.

Lovely soft redfruits, great balance and restraint, a blend of 15 Rhône varietals (including white grapes), great acidity, a very fine southern Rhône rouge from a good vintage!! (Disclosure: My brother imports this wine and I am friends with Rudi, the proprietor of Montfaucon.) — 6 years ago
