Schioppettino. Rustic, earthy funkiness. Blackberries, citrus pith, white pepper, brambles. Apparently rare in the US, from Fermented Grapes. — 5 years ago
Enjoyed this wine. Had the store brand pecorino from Cantoro’s in Michigan and was thrilled to see this one to try again. Some melon and honeydew. With some pear and honeysuckle. Really different taste profile. Lightly acidic and floral all at the same time. Plan to get more of this one! — 7 months ago
Orange rind, tar, tobacco, tea, green and oolong, floral and confectionery, super complex nose. Stunning. 9.7. Soft and sweet but also super structured and tannic. So linear and so pure. Finish is slightly clipped. Good concentration, freshness and depth. So clean. — 8 months ago

The 2022 Ribolla Gialla wafts from the glass with a vivid blend of crushed green apple, candied lime and mint aromas. This is round and soothing, offset by mineral-tinged orchard fruits. Ginger notes resonate toward the medium-bodied close. This finishes wickedly fresh. $25.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2024) — a year ago
