Cour-Cheverny 2005 Les Nautines, Philippe Tessier, needs aeration, golden colour, lots of honey, good balance - like! — 10 years ago
Silky texture with notes of oxidezed apples and pears with a subtle brown spice and minerality in the finish. Elegant and subtle with great integration of acid. Classy Romorantin — 10 years ago
Super romorantin avec un peu d'âge, un nez floral et mielleux et une bouche riche et équilibrée qui s'étire longuement. Sautez dessus si vous le voyez en tablettes! — 11 years ago

Sometimes I have to force myself to buy a white that isn't Loire Valley Chenin ( but without actually leaving the Loire Valley, because that would be crazy.) This Cour-Cheverny made me glad I did. I've only had Romorantin a few times prior, but I loved the tart acidity balanced by a great saline minerality. — 9 years ago
Lemon zest, white flowers, pineapple, and an intriguing pine cone undertone. Fresh acidity just barely rounded off at the corners. Light-bodied and refreshing. — 10 years ago
Reminds me of a good romorantin. Full body, lemony acidity. — 10 years ago
Une magnifique vendange tardive. Pas trop sucrée. Des parfums de fleurs mélangés à des fruits confits. Très étonnant. — 10 years ago
Magnum! incredible mineral melon, killer — 11 years ago
One of the better Cour-Cheverny wines I've tasted: a statement that says everything but also nothing. Less unpleasantly oxidative than Daridan, more interesting than de Montcy and Cazin and at much frendlier price than Henri Marionnet. For the money I think this is the best that's out there-- Golden apple skin, celery, tarragon. — 11 years ago

Golden apples, bruised pear, gardenias, almonds, honeysuckle, saline, smoke. Rounded acid, medium-plus body, juicy-oily texture, crisp floral-stone fruit-honeyed finish.. Delicate aromatics unfolds nicely into rich texture, mineral driven, highly food friendly. Recommended for Chenin lovers.

Loved this producer and his wines...very special! — 9 years ago
Smokey, lemons & bruised apples, crisp and direct. Now I really want to try their Romorantin. — 10 years ago
Lightly sparkling and funky romorantin. — 10 years ago
Wow. I'm not often surprised by a wine, but this is a revelation. Made from a fairly obscure white grape from the Loire, this is made in the "natural" style (e.g., no innoculation of cultured yeast, etc.). This exhibits a singularly unique flavor profile that I can only equate with a hypothetical blend of an aged ribolla gialla and a roussanne. Terrific! — 11 years ago

My God is this beautiful. Creamy like a Romorantin. Green tea. Tender lime and bread — 11 years ago
