When you open a Lapierre you know you are going to have a good time. A gourmet wine with immediate pleasure as the Beaujolais floods know how to produce. Here we are dealing with one of the great artisans of natural wine without the inconvenience that this type of wine sometimes produces. It is a magnificent expression of Gamay, with volume, depth, relief. the nose is just wow! The mouth is incredibly charming .. to (re) discover.

This is a damn fine wine that your lovely friends gave you and it pairs nicely with the end of day relief from the daily grind of working with idiots. It’s juicy with slight woody tones, that one could describe as a Marx/Engels mashup. It compliments late capitalism and the workers struggle.

drinkable fall bliss, paired perfectly as relief with the creeping sorrow about a recent life event. — 8 years ago
Hurricane stress relief ... literally drink this as the waters receded 😳 had bought it to go with a favorite childhood dish of mine country captain, which features some Indian flavors! But it went exceptionally well with this locally made ravioli I saved from the freezer when the power went out. And low and the behold the power came back on just as I pulled out the camp stove! Of course I was at a heightened emotional state but I did think of this drank quite well for the price point. Melon, white flowers & rocks! It was certainly comforting and did go great with the country captain too 😂 — 8 years ago
Raspberry-magenta color, shiny and clear. Intense nose of cherry red fruits, raspberry, currant, lavender flowers, and vanilla aging. In the mouth, the bouquet is superbly balanced, adding toasted-oaky notes that directly refer to the Burgundian style. The aromatic relief is not the same, but the whole is very well designed. Perfectly ready to drink.
— 3 years ago
I’m not focused on sweet liquorous wines, but I had a lot of pleasure with this pretty almost four-year-old bottle. The evolutionary notes add depth and relief to notes evoked by other comments (peach, apricot, bitter orange, honey, nutmeg) a magnificent wine tasting.
— 4 years ago

2015 -
A wonderfully balanced chenin Blanc. Herbaceous and fruity. Muted nose, but intense acidity on the palate. Grassy and pleasant. Actually a relief after too many overblown chenin’s lately. Really delightful! — 7 years ago
Medium ruby core with garnet edges. Aged characteristics on the nose with damp earth, a little espresso, a touch smoky, cinnamon and stewed plums. Medium tannins (6/10) and plus medium body. Dark cocoa on the attack of the palate intermingled with plums, black currants, black cherries and lots of spices. A bit of anise and the Petit Verdot coming through in the medium plus finish. Drink till 2018.

What a nice classic Burg of balance, finesse and unassuming power. Medium straw color, blast of white flowered minerals and acids right off the bat and good texture and length. A relief from previous oxidized white burg. Great with Evan’s honey garlic shrimp, Sandeep visit. Held up well in Cali bottles. Last one for Amahs CNY dinner 2/1/22. — 3 years ago

Beautiful ruby dress with depth and brilliance. On the nose and in the mouth, cabernet franc is immediately recognized: typical notes of fruits (red and black, strawberry to black cherry), floral herbaceous plants (ronces, rose, violet), and mineral (slate, graphite)... endowed with a beautiful concentration and acidity still lively, it is a cuvée today perfectly in the balance between youth and maturity with some evolved notes (truffle among others) that brings a beautiful taste relief. A bottle with enough body to attack the big meat. Nice q/p ratio.
Beau rapport q/p. — 3 years ago
