Clean, crisp, great with spicy food. Had with garlic buffalo wings. Loved it. — 5 years ago
Interesting. Blackberries, raspberries, cherries, red and black plums, earth, black pepper, dried herbs and purple flowers. Dusty tannins. Some have complained that this wine is unbalanced. 6 years+ aging seems to have done the trick. — 6 years ago

Love it! Juicy AF. Minerally. Good with spicy shakshouka. I'd keep a bottle of this on hand all the time. — 3 years ago
Birth year vintages are a roll of the dice but luckily I landed on a pretty solid classic - 1978. So for my birthday this year, we opened an LLC and wow was this perfect. The sommelier was surgical in removing the cork which split in half but he managed to extract it. The nose on this wine was a 10 - loads of cassis, licorice, dusty library and leather. Palate was extracted cassis, leather and great acidity and liveliness, just like my 44 year old self. It’s just pure magic when bottles this old perform - happy Friday everyone. — 4 years ago
Amazing easy drinking red — 6 years ago
Oldie but a goodie — 6 years ago
Rich amber color. Luscious red fruits, licorice, honey, and cardamom in the nose. Deeper flavors on the palate, with very rich mouthfeel and hints of light smoke. Luxurious finish. Nice to be tasting some Japanese whisky again after a dry spell in California! — 7 years ago
This would pair wonderfully with a steak 🤤 — 8 years ago
From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 9 years ago
Love this one. — 5 years ago
A slightly stinky front. Then real deep clarity of raspberry fruit. There’s a gentle luscious center of hauntingly pure aged fruit (dried roses, soft cherry?) leading into the end palate. Really lucid. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Nice wine with steak and roast. — 7 years ago
Enjoyed this more than my first bottle a few months ago. Has settled down a bit. Quaffable, bright tart red fruit. Again was better on day 2. Not "pure" bottling — 8 years ago

Cheery, minerals and a sublime taste of leather. Absolutely wonderful bottle received for wife’s birthday. — 3 years ago
