White orchard fruit like pears on the nose and also on the palate which is fresh and vivid with a nice tension, great balance and a nice white fruit finish. Great level and called at least a good Meursault Villages tasting blind.
90-91 — 5 years ago
Interesting. Blackberries, raspberries, cherries, red and black plums, earth, black pepper, dried herbs and purple flowers. Dusty tannins. Some have complained that this wine is unbalanced. 6 years+ aging seems to have done the trick. — 6 years ago
Very delicate, smooth

This would pair wonderfully with a steak 🤤 — 8 years ago
It is very pure—red raspberry, red cherry, and licorice, amped up with damp soil on the nose. The palate brings more licorice/anise/tarragon vibes, with a little lilac winking on the finish. The acid is vibrant, the tannins are dusky, and the alcohol is respectful. — 10 months ago
Love it! Juicy AF. Minerally. Good with spicy shakshouka. I'd keep a bottle of this on hand all the time. — 2 years ago
Love this one. — 5 years ago
Amazing easy drinking red — 6 years ago
Rich amber color. Luscious red fruits, licorice, honey, and cardamom in the nose. Deeper flavors on the palate, with very rich mouthfeel and hints of light smoke. Luxurious finish. Nice to be tasting some Japanese whisky again after a dry spell in California! — 7 years ago

From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 8 years ago
Cheery, minerals and a sublime taste of leather. Absolutely wonderful bottle received for wife’s birthday. — 2 years ago
A slightly stinky front. Then real deep clarity of raspberry fruit. There’s a gentle luscious center of hauntingly pure aged fruit (dried roses, soft cherry?) leading into the end palate. Really lucid. Delicious. — 5 years ago
Oldie but a goodie — 6 years ago
Enjoyed this more than my first bottle a few months ago. Has settled down a bit. Quaffable, bright tart red fruit. Again was better on day 2. Not "pure" bottling — 8 years ago

Beautiful and lush. Rounded plum with light floral notes. Cherry and dried flowers. Clearly mature but still sparkling with life. Lush, pure, intense and long. — 9 months ago
