It may well not be their best vintage to date, but it's impossible not to resist its pure candied peach fruit and gentle spice flavors. Long and rewarding it offers lively acidity and lovely drinkability. Seductive comes to mind. The second bottle of this vintage in less than two months. Thanks Brorsan. — 9 years ago
The body is crazy crazy garnet (beautiful) and seriously viscous! Dripping crimson down the sides of the glass after a swirl.
Tannins are soft but plentiful. About to eat it with a steak and beurre rouge... Should be a great fit.
Lots of subtle dark fruit with vanilla and a bit of spice.
Definitely fine by itself but can handle food.
I CAN FEEL IT STAINING MY TEETH!
Not a first date wine ;)
but good!

Nice creamy and medium to full-bodied.
No disgorgement date listed but (perhaps just due to my palate) I found this to be better than my last bottle of this cuvée. — 10 years ago
Excellent! Special Date..... — 10 years ago
Love it. Dry with pepper, cinnamon, long lingering on front back and sides of palate. Date night! — 10 years ago
I was scared at first. Vintage isn't the best one, tough conditions, rain close to harvest date.
Then I popped it and suddenly That happened. Definitely, Lafite is another breed of wine. I must admit that this is a rather austere Lafite but fruit is there, topical Bordeaux nose, very "Old School". mint, pudding and confit fruit (not dry nor overripe, rather mature I must admit).
Give Bordeaux best properties some bottle age then you understand why all the buzz. Loved it! — 10 years ago

Didier. Holy shit this was good barnyard. This makes me want to play with pigs on the mud. Carignon young has that red raspberry that's hard to replicate. Yum and bio whatever. This wine rocks. — 10 years ago
The most fantastic DRC to date! This is legendary, very, very gorgeous, fresh cut lilacs, pure pinot noir perfume, forest floor, acorn, rose essence, hibiscus flower...
Wow! — 10 years ago

Might well be their best vintage to date. This is one to purchase by the case! Awesome balance, length and offering a serious structure too. — 9 years ago
