I got the XVIII (18 not 17). Nice! Drank by the glass at a restaurant, I was told it is little known grapes from California, I was expecting a kind of sin massale but I was surprised! omg. what a fun little glass! it’s very tannic even grainy. it’s lush with red fruit - cherry, raspberry, strawberry. it’s not a piquette - it’s 50% riesling / 50% carnigan grapes.

Really good but drink around now. Stewed fruits but still fresh. Not a Bordeaux style but a bit larger with elegant and a bit of power. Glad I could share this with my folks. Fruits are rhubarb now after about an hour. Leaning down a little but still good. Definitely open the bottle of you have it soon imo — 8 months ago
