Black fruit with a touch of Marmelade. Some spice and a whiff of roast. On the palate fruity, with juicy acidity and fine tannins. Highly drinkable.
Develops nicely in the glass. — 7 years ago
Rich ripe boysenberry, violet and peppercorn medley. Soft tannins for a young Petite Sirah. It’s tasty. I’ll have another glass. 🍷 — 7 years ago
Duck horn 2014-slightly dryer than carneros. But not complex but enough. 8.9 — 8 years ago
Had a virtual tasting with the winemaker of Law, Philipp Pfunder. Scott Hawley, now at Torrin made this particular wine. Dark fruited: Plum, raspberry and juicy ripe fruit. After a 2-3 hours you started to get secondary notes of pipe tobacco and Cassis. Lots of fun... — 5 years ago
Still not a Chardonnay fan, there’s just something annoying about its bite that reminds me of someone poking me relentlessly or a car horn going off. It’s smooth on the finish but leaves that bothersome chemical taste from the first hit. — 6 years ago
full bodied wine. High in alcohol, but you don’t necessarily taste it. It is well balanced. — 7 years ago
Never had or heard of this producer hit a very fine Spatlese. Very light in colour and a subtle aroma of petrol but a fantastically balanced sweet, acidic and soft wine. Lovely - must find more as was well priced also — 7 years ago

Lovely zippy minerality, apricots, lychee, kiwi skin, Young and easily drinkable right now. Lapping riverstone for a long time after the gulp. Paired with VA "Cannon Cove" oysters. — 9 years ago
This was such a great wine list value. Quite dry, brilliant acidity. Age is showing nicely. — 6 years ago

Nice easy drinking cab. No sense of place, typical duck horn style. Tasty and good on half off wine nights. — 8 years ago
I am new to vodka.
The wifey is Ukrainian 🇺🇦 & Polish 🇵🇱 so it's in her veins. But until late I always stuck with the brown stuff.
I have to say Grey Goose is the champ over Tito's. Not in a Pacquiao vs Horn way (it was close but Pacman won) 🥊 .
Perhaps it's the wheat vs corn but I don't think I can go back. The goose prevails 🦆!!
