Vin Rouge Wine Bar - Denver — 7 months ago
Bright and citrusy. Would drink again. — 5 years ago
From a 5 liter bottle at Smith & Wollensky for WINE WEEK. What a deal and fun Friday afternoon
This wine had very good bright fruit flavors. Minimum tannins. A touch of acidity that was needed to keep it from being too juicy.
Ultimately quite enjoyable. — 3 months ago
Tasting really good right now. Less sweet than a non single vintage — 4 months ago
Fruity, light body for #stemiliongrandcru intense aromas — 6 months ago
Well structured and balanced wine; great density and silky tannins. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar and clove meet on the palette. Great find! — 4 years ago
We had the 2014 Vintage on 10/1-2/20. This is a good, full bodied, fruit forward Pinot Noir. The lead flavor on the bouquet and palate is black cherry. There is some oak and sweet spice. The tannins need to be smoothed with the aerator. I would buy more. — 5 years ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and nutty floral notes, 50% fruit from certified organic Double L estate, with the balance from McIntyre and Tondré vineyards. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon citrus zest and melon, complex with mineral tones and soft and a bit creamy adding sweet spice. The wine was fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice! — 4 months ago
Very nice and smooth start to finish. Dark fruits mainly and fully integrated. Last bottle of 2017 — 6 months ago
It has interesting depths to it. My favourite pinot noir — 7 months ago
Single vineyard, Ruby color with aromas of red fruit, baking spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of raspberry and cherry with white flower notes and an array of spices. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fresh fruit, spice and earthy tones. — 8 months ago
2021 vintage. First tasted this wine with the 1991 vintage when it was resto cost $240 a 12-pack case (which was pretty pricey for CA chard at the time). FF three decades where I'm pouring this btg and paying less than the 1991 pricing. Has always held a soft spot in my heart. Unique flavor profile that consistently upends a blind white Burgundy tasting as a ringer-regardless of the price range involved...and it do get pricey these daze. Still bringing the serious mineral hammer along with bracing acidity but a bit of lanolin and variety of citrus when things warm up a tad. Last tasted 5.5.23 (9.1). 10.27.24. — 9 months ago
The best sextant vintage of Pinot yet! Vibrant bright cherry, lively wine that evolves in the glass. Perfect thanksgiving wine, which is why I paired it with the delicate pork tenderloin tonight. Has enough racy acid to challenge the vinaigrette accompanying the couscous salad. Lovely! ‘Tis the season! www.freerunjuicewine.com — comment and tag me if you would like a discount code! Sipping Fine Wine
Taking its name from the sea and sun – the two forces of nature that shape its character. Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and tropical fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Sip’s well now. Pair this with some fresh tuna! — 3 months ago
