Typical marguax, which I love. Opens up smoothly to notes of dark cherries, light plums, tobacco, cedar and earth/ forest floor. Tannins well integrated with 14 years of aging and 30mins of decanting. — 2 days ago
Beautiful pure nose. Lacking mid palate deepness at this stage but overall nice and well balanced and integrated. Closing a bit harsh but this will improve with time. — 8 days ago
Thick and layered. Power machine with a subtle feminine touch of the aromatics. Finish very long and charming aftertaste. — 7 days ago
Intense. Closing a bit “technical” for my taste. Will improve. 95+ — 8 days ago

Wonderful Bordeaux blend from Saint-Julien. Super dry dark blue fruit seamlessly integrated with aged wood notes of dark chocolate, raw tobacco and leather (remember chewing on this as a kid 😁) and smooth rounded tannins. A great wine to just sip, reminisce and… wondering where the oldest vineyard in the world might be? You want to know? Very intense, expressive and pretty nose. It keeps showing well on the palate with a nice long finish. Big wine for the vintage. — 8 days ago
Dense, stony and intense. Lacking fruit — 8 days ago
Can’t tell if not in a great spot or maybe some slight heat damage—but leaning to the latter. Tasty, but not as good as it should have been — a month ago
rounded fresh fruits, deeply tannic still. aniseed, pepper, like a cured sausage taste. light oak on the nose and on palate. clove. slightly mineralic, granite and graphite, fresh olive, orange rind. — a month ago
Fine wine. Round and soft, seemingly watery on the kid palate but it’s not. Good and intense finish. — 8 days ago
Yum! Elegance and precision. Lacking depth on the mid palate but then it comes back with its evident classy personality. — 8 days ago
Color concentration. Slight black currant focused. Good concentration. Elegant. Gentle

Piacevole artigianalita. Naturally expressive. Quite untouched fruit. Finish a bit harsh. May improve. — 8 days ago
Dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cassis, leather, plum. Plus body, full tannins, plus acid. Balanced, bold, and refined, with a long finish. Definitely worth pairing with hearty food. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. — 16 days ago
2015 vintage. Smooth plum and berry notes. Pair perfectly with steak. — a month ago
2020 vintage. Big, darkly-fruited nose that rolls over to the flavors. Medium body. Great complexity for initial and mid-palates, Finish is where things drop off a cliff. Solid banger for the price. If only some of that impressive, frontal assault could be transferred to the back end, we'd be in clover. Nice, first-time BDX to get the palate rolling/draw people in tho. 3.15.24. — a month ago
Sexy in 30 min. Rich cassis, blue and blackberry, (good kind) oaky vanilla, velvety tannins. Complex and fun. Risotto with mushrooms and sausage. — 2 months ago
Alessandro Dalle Carbonare
I mean, come on. It would deserve 98/100. So the score really does not matter here, at all. It was a beautifully interior experience for whom not often come across such old wines in sharp conditions. Immensely intense and long after taste. So much finesse. Incredibly together and in good shape. — 4 days ago
