High altitude Cab from Argentina. The color is inky red with a watery rim. Rich ripe dark fruit and oak scents. Time has served this wine well! The fore-pallet is again, fruit forward, velvety! The mid pallet has a great counter-balance composed of bold, oaky, and earthy flavors. The finish is long, slightly spicy, with strong tannings. Definitely a good wine; fruit is high but everything else falls right into place. — 5 years ago

Like the lovechild of port and amaro, weirdly. Transcends the sweet/dry binary. Impression of shoe leather. Un gran litrito!! — 6 years ago

Really delicious. I did however taste a very, very slight amount of oak, but learnt this wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels. I soon read that they add “Indigenous Yeast” so I’m curious if this yeast is responsible for that slight, lingering wood on the tail end. Certainly wasn’t put off, though, and very much enjoyed. Well balanced acidity and concentration. Ripe, juicy, and absolutely worth cellaring, see how it ages. Would definitely drink again. — 5 years ago
