Incredibly purity of fruit with balance — 8 years ago
Really nice combo of Nero D'Avola and Montepulciano. Mellow and juicy — 8 years ago
Razor sharp. Love me some northern Italian Riesling and this doesn't disappoint. Evolved on the second day as well! — 9 years ago
Amazing purity, elegant, precise lemon fruit, caramel texture, vanilla spice, razor acidity , soft chalky minerality on the finish. So pure and a real delight. Tried @hedonism_wines and picked up the 2014, will visit next year I think. I like my white burgs young 👍👍 — 7 years ago
Christmas Eve, my wife and Krug Rosé...not sure it gets much better. On the nose; ripe, effervescence fruits of black cherries, ripe strawberries, black raspberries, watermelon, sea spray, soft chalkiness & minerals, red & pink fresh roses & baguette crust. The palate is soft, ripe, lush & delicate with micro bubbles. Fruits of perfectly ripe; black cherries, ripe strawberries, black raspberries watermelon and notes of citrus. Sea spray, powdery soft chalkiness & minerals that softly cut across the palate like a razor, red & pink fresh roses & baguette crust, perfect acidity and an amazing long finish. Beautiful stuff! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁❄️⛄️🥗 — 7 years ago
Fell in love. Exploding of minerality, razor sharp acidity. Aromas of white peaches, gooseberries. Lots of primary fruits.
Dry, a little overweight in alcohol. Quite fat texture. Semi-aromatic. — 8 years ago
Surprisingly austere with no trace of the leesy, nutty, or brioche character mentioned for other vintages. Still quite good but maybe a touch sharp. Better for those seeking razor acid, noticeable minerality, and more citrusy notes. — 8 years ago
Broad, waxy honeysuckle and melon. Acidity has mellowed a lot. Interesting to taste side-by-side with the razor sharp '14 AOC Chablis. Very different wines. — 9 years ago
Young but boisterous. Big confectionary nose of citrusy, confectionary sugar, melon, huge mineral and a deep elemental feel. Super terrific nose. Palate is razors and wonderful sappy fruit with that razor acid with brilliant juiciness and purity. Terrific depth. So long and has structure to age. Joyous. — 7 years ago
What a nose. It pops. Big peach and apricot and that purest citrusy syrup dash of honey thing. Really singing. Slate in the background but beautiful and clean fruit. Floral and almost a nougat element as well. Stunning. Palate is at once opulent and also bone dry with razor sharp 2008 acidity and cleansing minerality and citrus on the finish which really is long and delineated. This is outrageous now. — 7 years ago
Tesch does it different. Not the usual Riesling notes of citrus and green apples. This goes in the opposite direction. Big and bold notes of petroleum, honey and almonds. And heavy razor sharp acidity. This wine is not made to please everyone, despite being the entry level wine from this producer. If this is what you get for 16 Euro’s I can’t wait to try more from their selection — 7 years ago
Laser. This is so insanely good. Crazy juxtaposition of super ripe aromatics and cutting acid. Just a shade off of bone dry. Balanced on the edge of a razor. — 8 years ago
Very viscous. Almost oily but balanced by razor sharp acidity. Full weight of vintage. Lime, wet grass, guava, rocky element. Qg. — 8 years ago
This Albariño pours up pretty in the glass - yellow-gold and a touch of bubbles. The bubbly sensation doesn't last too long, but it's festive while it’s there. The nose brings some citrus - of course - and a smattering of stone fruit and ripe apples. In the mouth, the magic really begins. The acidity is razor-sharp and a complete delight. The bottle should come with a dozen oysters. Flavors of apples and Meyer lemons grace the palate and you simply don't run out of minerals. There's a lot to like here, and it lasts long beyond the sip. — 9 years ago
Blanc de Blancs, no dose, l'Eclapart. Wine geek trifecta. Nose is a symphony, wet earth, mineral, salty, tree bark? Fascinating aromas. Palate is dry, forceful, yeasty and tangy. Long and intense. Concentrated and intense.
Day 2 Update - Yeasty somewhat broad and mineral nose. Some brioche as well. Nice. Palate is razor sharp with terrific precision and minerality. Really lovey delineation of flavors. Great. Delicate and complex yet forcefully dry. Incredible. — 9 years ago
