Drinking perfectly. The nose is a mix of steeped dark cherry, old library books and cedar. Med bodied but intense - undertow of brooding darker fruit with umami, savoury meat, damp earth, and cedar all swirling. Tannin and acid completely integrated and in harmony with the fruit. Deep gold color but still fresh. Lots of “petrol” on the nose and a myriad of other minerals. Some appley fruit as well. Round and mouthfilling, nice intensity and balance. Nice acids for an ‘18 but they’re softening. Bone dry, nice length. — 2 months ago
