Red fruit in the nose with blueberries and raspberries i. The palate. The flavor was enhanced with a beef stick and white cheddar cheese, but neutral with chocolate chip cookies or chocolate covered cherries. — 2 years ago

Jammy and full bodied $8 — 5 years ago
Very nicely balanced. Can definitely taste the bourbon and oak. — a month ago
Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity aromas of hibiscus, cloves, and dried leaves; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary flavors of cherries, raspberries, and wet slate with a long finish. This wine is balanced and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 7 months ago
Good Argentinian Cabernet. Mendoza is becoming a serious powerhouse in wine. Their Malbecs are impressive and now they are producing quality Cabs. $30 for a 1.5 L from Total Wines. — 10 months ago

Mascota Vineyards – Magnánime Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Mendoza – Argentina 🇦🇷
Overview
Crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Magnánime is Mascota Vineyards’ flagship wine, designed to showcase the depth and structure possible in Mendoza’s high-altitude terroir. The 2015 vintage is drinking at its peak, balancing power and refinement after nearly a decade of cellaring.
Aromas & Flavors
Opens with concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry, and cassis, layered with cedar, graphite, and dark chocolate. Subtle tertiary notes of tobacco, leather, and spice reveal its age and evolution.
Mouthfeel
Full-bodied and structured, with firm yet polished tannins. Decanting for 45 minutes softened its edges, revealing layers of fruit and earth. The finish is silky, delicate, and persistent, showing remarkable balance.
Food Pairings
Best with grilled ribeye, lamb chops, braised short ribs, or aged cheeses. Also pairs beautifully with mushroom or truffle-based dishes.
Verdict
A serious and multilayered Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon. Magnánime 2015 is proof that Argentina produces world-class Cabernet to rival Bordeaux and Napa, while offering its own distinct Andes-driven identity. Peak drinking window right now. 🍷

Mascota Vineyards has gained international acclaim for its Gran Mascota and Unánime blends, but the single-varietal Magnánime Cabernet Sauvignon is considered their crown jewel, produced in very limited quantities. — 9 months ago
A nice light Chardonnay. No oak or heavy butter. Slightly butterscotch and crisp apples. Sweet at first then a tart finish — 4 years ago
Medium bodied and fruity. Smooth drinking. I love this! Not usually a fan of sweeter wines, but this one had a subtle touch of sweetness that I enjoyed. — 5 years ago

Very Good, Full Bodied Malbec
Enjoyed this with BBQ ribs. It’s a full body Malbec, raspberry, pepper, cherry, and plum on the palate. Would buy again, but at $22 a bottle, a little hefty for a daily drinker. — 3 days ago
