The red lighting really adds to its intensity. Very dark, spicy but sooo delicious. I do think that I wouldn’t be quite as into this if I hadn’t taken the time to taste so many other dark Italian reds. Darker hues than I've ever seen from this bottling. Rather amber and dark. Marzipan, kettle corn, carmelized fruit. I enjoy tasting these but they always guarantee a hangover for me. — 9 years ago

The old man on the mountain never disappoints. Big, bold and brawny. The mountain fruit just has punch enough to hold up to the tannins in this big boy. The nose is tar, blackberries and menthol. 12 years old and still has a long life left. — 10 years ago
