Always so much fun with this pretty wine south of the Rhône-Nord. Syrah is expressed on red and black fruits with beautiful peppery notes, smoked bacon. Coated character. Contained power. Fine texture in the mouth. The acidity suggests that it is to be drunk now.

Slightly gold and darker coloured, some honey and yellow orchard fruit, touch buttery, nice round palate to start with some backbone though, it is all in finesse and balance, despite this touch or richness. 91-92

Couleur assez foncée avec un nez sur le miel, fruits jaunes et une touche de beurre. En bouche c’est très fin par contre, acidité assez vive sans être tranchante, un peu de gras et de richesse mais encore une fois sans excès, belle longueur, tout en finesse wt équilibre, vraiment très bon pour un Villages et plusieurs belles bouteilles (en blanc) ouvertes de Prudhon depuis 2-3 ans. 91-92 — 3 years ago

Deep garnet color, thick (not filtered, not glued) Beautiful evolved notes - red fruits, licorice, pomegranate, and many shades between undergrowth, spices etc. developing during tasting. A Loire wine that has magnificently endured 18 years in cellar and needs to take the time to open.

Robe grenat profonde, épaisse (non filtrée, non collée) Belles notes évoluées - fruits rouges, réglisse, grenade, et nombreuses nuances entres sous-bois, épices etc. se développant en cours de dégustation. COTES DE PROVENCE ROSE

Owned by the Quiot family from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 200 acre estate lies at the foot of Mont Sainte Victoire near Aix-en-Provence. Its winemaking facilities have been completely renewed over the past 3 years.
This is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre.
Special efforts are made to preserve freshness and fruit by the use of CO2 gas to exclude oxygen during the harvest. This is a fresh rosé with a pretty salmon-pink color, elegant flavors of red berries, mineral notes and a clean finish. Serve this wine lightly chilled. Very nice on its own, it goes well with most dishes, specially sushi, salads, pizza and mild cheeses. — 2 years ago
