Lunar New year celebration at PA Margaret Kuo with 20 per CB tradition. Pino's 3 Amarone. Well balanced with fruits and spice and earth and am angular and lively texture vs other two. I'd say need more time. Is probably drinking the best. Also the oldest. — 6 years ago

Today is Chinese lunar new year in LA! Gotta pop a nice one. Dark inky purple color, not showing a bit of aging at all. Fine leather, mushrooms, forest floor, smoked bacon, graphite, herb, not much fruit character on the nose but mostly are black fruits, also mixed with some sweet cinnamon. Tannins are not fading at all, very young, very dry on the palate, chewy. Some tobacco leaves and dark chocolate as well. 30+ seconds finish. Still has decade to go. Love it! 13.5% alc. 2004 vintage — 8 years ago
Great wine shared with my family for Lunar New Year's Eve. This wine showed longevity and the flavor was pure clover honey. The acid was fresh and lively. Drink now or hold for another 5 years. — 9 years ago
Light and lively with a complex structure. Perfect for watching the lunar eclipse with the dark haired girl. — 10 years ago
Very expressive on the nose. Cool, fresh palate presence. Nice balance of fruit, earth and floral aspects. $11 btg I — 10 years ago

Huge milk chocoalate to Cappuccino colored eruption of thickest froth dwindles, flattening to a lunar landscape. Dark chocolate and coffee elements initiate. Machinery. Roasted almond-in-shell, vanilla and hazelnut aromas. This stout will zap the tongue with malty coffee notes that feel like a 9 volt battery connection, then shimmer in bitter arabica, dried violet, valerian root, nutmeg, clove tinges of ginger. The whole almost suggests licorice, but the flavor isolates encourage soloism. Dark chocolate abates, revealing rich roasted coffee in a splendid finish. Launch into the darkest astral day with the breakfast for champion cosmonauts. — 6 years ago
Lunar New year celebration at PA Margaret Kuo with 20 per CB tradition. Pino's 3 Amarone. Well balanced with earthy notes and most mellow and soft of the three. but I'd say still could us more time. — 6 years ago
Lime on the nose. Frizzante. — 7 years ago
Had several wines from this producer recently and have been amazing impressed. Doing a lot of cool stuff with biodynamic farming techniques, and I've heard even harvests around the lunar calendar? Regardless, it's working and thus wasn't any exception. If you doubt you can grow great Pinot in Slovenia give this a try. Delicate floral notes with some dark playful raspberry and cherry flavors with a fun funkiness to it. Great acidity balance, and a lingering finish. — 8 years ago
Really unique story, flavor profile and color... I found this at Bacchanal in New Orleans... it was featured on their flight. Go out and find it! — 8 years ago

Like a tank sample, even with some crushed seeds/sediment/cloudiness, great acidity though, apple skin complexity, fun stuff. — 8 years ago
A little bit of volatility that quickly blew off, leaving a full-fruited, lightly off-dry Chenin that was gorgeous. Stellar (lunar?) indeed — 10 years ago
Celebrated Lunar New Year last year with this special Cabernet. Silky, bold fruit and smooth, complex but deliciously drinkable. — 10 years ago

This was a gift to us from our wedding and wow what a gift. Toasty yeast and stewed apples up front, sweeter palate with apples and a nuttiness from the yeast. Fairly short finish and smoother mousse, likely due to its age. Happy Lunar New Year! Xīn nián kuài lè! — 5 years ago
