Natty: pet nat?
Notes: very fruity and young bordering sparkling grape juice. But chilled and in small doses it was delightful on a hot day and interesting to try a red pet nat — 4 years ago
Earth and fruit. Such amazing mouthfeel and structure. One of my faves in a while. — 5 years ago

Château covers 170 acres separated from Château Lafite, along the southern edge, by a stream. A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon & 38% Merlot. Rich berry aromas with floral and spices, very pleasant. On the palate blueberry and wild berry flavors with licorice and toasty oak notes. Lingering rich finish on soft juicy tannins, drinking well and still has room to go. Very Nice second label! — 7 years ago
Passionfruit and grassy notes. Quite good and what you’d expect from a Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. — 5 years ago
Time for a good #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a great one from Napa Valley.
Inky in color with a short purple rim.
Showing black fruits with cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, coke, chocolates, dark coffee, leather, spices and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice balance and mouthfeel.
This is a delicious Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Complex and opulent, and might be too much for some.
Dark, rich and handsome. Very tasty now, although still young. Will be nice to revisit it in 10 years.

Deep Ruby with youthful aromas of blue and black fruits with sweet spice and slight mineral character. The wine is a blend of 86% Cab Sauv, 7% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec & 2% Cab Franc from their estate-owned Napa Valley vineyards, aged 18 months in French (62%) & American oak (38%) (48% new). On the palate complex flavors, blackberry, plums and ripe cherry with sweet spice, oak and eucalyptus notes. Well balanced with good acidity and tannins still developing. Full-bodied, long finish ending with cacao and wood spice. Delightful! Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago
Beautiful expression of an underrated region. Crisp minerals, dry, and moderate acidity. Notes of lemon and chalk. — 6 years ago
Fully opaque ruby violet offering aromas of black cherry, cassis, cocoa powder, coffee, and cedar. Full bodied, soft, and fruit forward with incredible mid-palate density. The tannins are fine grained and alcohol is 14.6%. Made from a blend of 62% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot sourced from vineyards like Beckstoffer’s Orchard Lane and Dr. Crane and aged in 65% new French oak. Along with Duckhorn, this is one of my favorite California Merlots and is crafted by winemaker Benoit Touquette and consultant Michel Rolland to drink young. I favor a pop and pour approach. $95. — 7 years ago
Blend of 62% Pinot Noir and rest Chardonnay. Pale salmon with aromas of berry fruits, yeasty and nutty notes. On the palate flavors of fresh cherry and raspberry, nice firm mousse, rapid bubbles, adding citrus & toasty apple flavors, crisp & refreshing, long ending with creamy lemon, smoke & yeasty mineral notes. Nice! Aged well! — 4 years ago
Beautifully aromatic showing blueberries so I though it might have a fair amount of Malbec. Texture is supple yet there is a bit of a grip. A little astringent. A nice sipping wine and pairs nicely with our rib eye too! TD-9 is named for the tractor John Shafer drive in the vineyards. May he rest In peace.

Est. in 1987, belongs to Champagne Taittinger (personal favorite) considered the concept in 1947 in the mind of Claude Taittinger. 138 acre estate is situated in the Carneros appellation of CA. A blend (changes ea year) of 35% Chard, 62% Pinot Noir & 3% Pinot Gris, aged 3 1/2 years in the bottle. Aromas of stone fruit and toasty spice. Raspberry and peach flavors, complex, with citrus notes in a fine mousse with good bubble flow. Well structured, vibrant lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Will benefit from some aging. — 6 years ago

This is basically the house red at Chez LuLu and we usually get a bottle when we go there for dinner. Pairs great with their wild mushroom & lamb sausage pizza and also with the beef stew dish. Solid choice for an inexpensive cotes du Rhône. — 7 years ago
