Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Deep Ruby with medium intensity aromas of red/black fruit with notes of spice, pepper & tar. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants with pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. Fine tannins, balanced with acidity, medium finish ending with fruit and earthy character, noting slight warmth. An easy drinking wine. ‘18 better than ‘17, drink now. Good value!

This wine has a dark tint in the glass, foreshadowing a rich and deep nose and palate. It actually comes off fresher and brighter than expected, with aromas of cherry and earth and flavors to match. The wine was fermented and aged in stainless steel, so the profiles tend to be bright and focused. The finish is full of fruit, juicy and long.

2011. The initial nose on this is quite literally my son's poop when he was a couple of months old and only on breast milk. It is like sweet buttery popcorn but not in a good way. The initial taste was way worse. Maybe the worse wine of the year right next to a white Zinfandel that was a gag wine after drinking way too much earlier this year.

Pepper, black cherry and cassis. Thin mouthfeel and short finish but overall a great easy drinker with a structure that makes it enjoyable.

For the price, I think it's great!

Great red that was exactly in the middle of my palette. If you follow me you know I love Rhone blends, this was a more complex and earthy than introductory bottles from the region.

I mean, it's not bad but I've had a few drinks before this so I couldn't be bothered to be a critic.

Starts a little lite and tart. Aeration helps smooth it out and brings berries forward.

A little peppery. Black currant. A little earthy. Medium to full bodied. A great wine to sip on alone or with food.
