Ried Rosenberg Red Blend 2018

A real charmer, full of dark, ripe, sweet berries, a pinch of spice, some kirsch, a whiff of gingerbread. Very sexy.
On the palate this is medium bodied, round, smooth, velvety with ripe dark fruit, a hint of dark chocolate nibs, with a fresh, herby note, juicy acidity and a very smooth, long finish. The alc (14% alc) is slightly noticeable but overall this is a true crowd pleaser!
Perfect for Valentines Day 😉

Breton Stellenbosch Cabernet Franc 2021

Funk at first, deep nose, rhubarb, dark cherry, leather, red moss? The nose is deceptively deep at first, but the wine isn’t heavy, it’s meaty on the palate, slightly chewy, dark fruits and savory notes. Chinon in Stellenbosch.
Excellent vino.
Only seven barrels. Put up in “ old French oak”. Very interesting. I bet some more more time would help with the pronounced drying.

Graft Red Blend 2020

Medium ruby . Touch of blackberry and ripe dark fruits , then black pepper , spice and granite . Quite deep and richer fruit , blackberry , dark cherry , touch of bacon fat , fills out nicely on the palate. Raspy tannins , good acidity . Pretty good length. Balanced alcohol . Again needs more time , better in 5 years , will drink well for a further 5-10 — a year ago

3m2n Pfalz Spätburgunder 2019

A rosé but as far from a simple rosé as it gets.
Fresh, so fresh, with juicy underripe strawberries, a touch of cream, some wet moss and a herby whiff.
Great purity & flow on the palate. Juicy, fresh, pure. This is truly something different l!
