This wine is colored dark purple, almost inky. The nose is wonderful, with an earthiness leading the way for plum, cherry and tar. The palate is loaded with dark fruit, earth and black pepper. The tannins are fairly smooth, but they work well against a Bolognese sauce. There is a nice acidity and a wonderful herbal finish. — 2 months ago

The 2019 Nobile di Montepulciano is a pleasure on the nose. Sweet spice complements raspberry and cherry aromas. Juicy acidity balances silky textures as rose-tinged red berries cascade across the palate. Popped and poured; enjoyed over several hours. Clearly showing the solar nature of the vintage, the 2015 Fèlsina CCR pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of stewed cherries and strawberries, well-oiled leather ball glove, red flowers, curaçao, dried green herbs, and sandalwood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes of the nose. The finish is long, tart and satisfying with ferrous minerals. A lovely pairing with Conchiglie Ripiene. While this is fully mature, it still has a healthy life ahead. Drinking very well now and should through 2030 with ease. — 5 months ago

On the palate very intense red fruits , high acidity and quite gritty tannin . Quite raw and young this , really needs time . The 2021 Unlitro, presented in a fun 1-liter bottle, is a very pretty, aromatic red to drink over the next few years. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, cinnamon, dried flowers and orange peel all grace this light to medium-bodied red. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2023)
