Tart and high va. Leather and tobacco notes. — 9 months ago
Smoldering and different. Some tar or asphalt and hint of smoke on the nose. Nice balance and plummy. — 10 months ago
Another bottle I forgot to get a picture of in situ. Made from Tinta Negra in canteiro. A caramel glaze about to burned brown color, veering into golden brown at the rim. Utterly mouthwatering (and I should say nose quivering) aromas of caramel, brown sugar, sugarcane, molasses, coffee, and dark chocolate, plus a hint of earth and smoke. It is sweet, oh yes, it is, but the acid is bracing. The palate confirms the nose with the addition of caramelized grapefruit, figs, dates and cocoa. Geez Louise, it’s good. Almost cola on the finish. — 5 months ago
