A particularly great vintage for La Haute Lemblé, a gentle decant reveals its expressive core of rich and ripe stone fruit, hazelnuts, pastry cream and a liquid rock minerality. The forwardness and power of the vintage puts everything on the table. The palate shows great tension, racy acids, a soft texture and an incredible crystalline purity. Such special and singular wines. — 2 years ago
Liquid gold, drank this June of 2018, very dark gold, loads of honey, apricot, fig, nearly perfect — 6 years ago
Delicious stuff. Thick and unctuous. A wine you could swear could not possibly be so light colored and fresh. What? Those crazy blueberry flavors out of this light gold liquid? No way!
What a treat. — 6 years ago

A favorite winery of mine... This one needs a little more bottle age, or a splash decant... A muted nose opened to crisp honeycomb apple, ginger root, and a toasty brioche character. Feels like bit of lees influence too. Round, layered, and soft on the palate with yellow apple, pear and melon rind. Bright acidity shines on the mid-palate with a limestone crouch to the finish. Hold this for a few more years. — 5 years ago
Absolutely delicious, peachy honey, liquid gold. Fab with a mince pie and cream. — 6 years ago
First time trying any of the new releases (and new labels 😏) from Bouchard. Starting at the top with the super rare old vine 100% Pinot Blanc Lieu-dit, La Bolorée. 2018 has been an early approachable vintage across many regions, and La Bolorée although obviously young, is plenty giving with some air. It is its texture and density that stand out the most, really such an incredible mouthfeel. Vinous, ultra concentrated and incredibly elegant, a rightful Zalto Burgundy wafts its layers of ripe orchard fruit, citrus oils, bread yeast, white flowers, gun smoke and liquid rock minerality. Its textural palate keeps gaining in volume and intensity, and finishes long with a seamless balance of racy citrusy acids and minerality. To age beautifully, indeed. — a year ago
2009 Allemand Horizontal. I absolutely love Allemand’s wines. Always a seamless combination of both elegance and power. Both the Chaillot and Reynard showed perfectly, with the Reynard a bit more concentrated and deep than the Chaillot. Both wines had superb intensity, focus and a wonderful texture with the signature liquid rock, violets, herbs and cassis of Allemand Cornas. Fantastic duo. — 4 years ago
