Paired well with his steak frites and my duck confit. — 9 years ago
Wow! Truely different than other Loire Chenin's. Dry or off-dry? It differs every vintage but 2011 was more on the dry side. Deep, rich, energy & lightning bolts, marvellous ending. Great wine with a 'vin nature' complexity that I would like to find in every bottle that is made this way. From a plot where Mark Angeli used to make moulleux wines before (partly in the Bonnezeaux appelation). Classic example of biodynamics. When Angeli started in 1990 he converted to this way of working straight away. No monoculture here. 4ha out of the 12ha is used for other purposes than winemaking. All this is indicated by the name of the estate: not a winery but a farm. — 9 years ago
Somewhat beefy thanks to the rousanne, great balance and freshness to boot. — 11 years ago
Needed some Barolo in my life!!! This little Rock and Roll Nurse felt like a much needed transfusion. Less Orange-hued than most. Highly affordable. Just a baby, like we Vampires like 'em! Happy to sink my fangs in this one. Chalky Cherries with chunks of plum. Rose snippets. Orange bitters diluted in Armagnac. This has all the mixological possibilities of a great cocktail, only it is propped on a cloud of acidity that screams like a juvenile Jove for a plate of fine food before blasting your mouth with a a lightning bolt of chewy round tannins, then descending like a shower of golden daffodils to sex you up! Ahh Spring!

Lovely, peppery Grenache. A little on the hot side, got a recommendation to serve it slightly chilled which was a good call. Wish I had more in the cellar. — 9 years ago
Unctuous and decadent. Chocolate lightning. — 10 years ago
Balanced with a hint of white pepper and dark berries. Went well with the Rib-eye. — 10 years ago
Unique Australian PG. Could be mistaken for Pinot Noir Rose. Candied red fruits and spice, amazing texture. Partnered with BBQ terrifically — 11 years ago

Tantalizing nose, Layers of yellow apple, juicy pear, kumquat, honey-lemon, with pleasant lanolin notes. Powerful, intense fruit and then--whoooosh, the acid swoops in like a bolt of lightning. The perfect acid-sugar balance takes this to elevated levels of pure deliciousness. In professional terms, this wine is "the tits". — 9 years ago
