Je suis un fan de muscadet. Pas de ces versions acides et étriquées à vous détartrer ce qu’il vous reste d’émail aux dents, non. Plutôt de ces envolées fluides, légères, agiles et admirablement tracées livrées par un melon de bourgogne traité aux petits oignons. The 95 vintage was built for aging. Sauzet Montrachet wine is built for aging. This shows. The wine was perfect -it was alive an vibrant like a young wine. I knew the age but I could not believe it. The nose has a surprising molasses tone with stone fruits in the background. The wine had an incredibly long finish. This wine blew me away- completely!

Medium lemon yellow , some development . On the nose this is still quite fresh , with some yellow fruits , white peach, white flowers, red apple , creamy lemon curd . On the palate this is quite rounded with touch of smoky lemon curd, lightly buttery and white peach . Balanced acidity , but not the brightest , and ok length , quite rounded but balanced . Good now and over the next few years . Impressive for a basic Bourgogne Blanc , especially from 2011. — 9 months ago
