Dark fruit with spicy velvety undertones of violets and herbs. Rich finish. Filet mignon really went well with it. Surprise Cotes-Du-Rhone that is a cut above other CDRs. — 3 years ago

Love this champagne. Yeasty, with citrus and hay. Never heard of this producer but complemented the Caspian Sea caviar quite nicely. — 4 years ago
Great structure and fruit, but the tannins were a bit chewy. Maybe let this one sit for a couple of years. — 5 years ago
This was a pretty tasty bottle of Burg. Worked exceptionally well with porchetta--acid cutting through the fat, with beautiful spice and fruit. Needed a little time to breathe. — 6 years ago
This was just gorgeous! Roses, tart cherries, raw mushrooms, and velvety tannins. — 6 years ago
On the nose, violet petals, beets, and a little tobacco. On the palate, mint, liquorice, anise, plum, and gorgeous dark fruits. Finish is pleasingly herbaceous, with moderate tannins and a mild refreshing acidity. Very little barrel detectable but still so rich and satisfying. — 2 years ago
