Magnum. WKU Labor Day. — 6 years ago
Juicy and tender like a love letter, the color of sunset. A true delight that isn't too heavy or too sweet. Drank excellently on a porch but could be handled at a picnic table or even, dare I say, a lake on Labor Day. — 6 years ago
The deep salmon color was a hint that this is no wimpy rosé (coming from To Kalon this is not surprising). It's slightly off-dry with a heavy dose of raspberry and strawberry (it's not sweet, just full of fruit). If you only like bone dry minerally Provençal styled rosés, then this is probably not for you. Aromatic on the nose and slightly rich, I might have blind guessed this as a Viognier. Time in glass served this well so I'd follow the advice of my friend @David L and decant (seriously!) or hold this for a bit. Enjoying this last bit of summer by the pool with the dogs. Happy Labor Day! — 7 years ago
Not a labor at all. Star fruit and kaffir lime, lighter and less unctuous than say a Sauternes. — 8 years ago

Really balanced out over the summer. Just the right fruit to acid. Have a couple left for Labor Day, a nice way to end the season. — 9 years ago
Perfect #DrinkNapa Labor Day BBQ wine! Equally delighted by the northern Rhone-esque beauty of this mountain Syrah and the news that Lagier-Meredith's barrel recovery has saved much of last year's vintage! — 10 years ago

Another lovely Labor Day weekend bottle as we gear up for the beginning of harvest 2013 on Tuesday! — 11 years ago
Here we are on the presipis of a long weekend called Labor Day weekend. I picked up the 2017 Fournier Père et Fils Sancerre Les Belles Vignes. 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose I am getting apricot, mandarin orange, orange rind, grapefruit and minerality.
On the palate there is beautiful fruit notes of lime, grapefruit, white peach, gooseberry, herbaceous notes and limestone minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with fresh crispness and high acidity that leads into a long mineral and fruit finish that is bone dry. Love this wine. Let me tell you, on the white side Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc are definitely my go to whites. Sancerre and New Zealand have it going on when it comes to Sauvignon Blanc. Have a great long weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 5 years ago

Pre-Labor Day festivities with friends.
Stinky barnyard, new leather, dried cherry, wicked finish, still years to go, more notes later...
48 Hour Update:
Nose has ripe cherry syrup, moist earth, dry tree bark, ripe black cherry, ripe blackberry, light star anise and roasted meats.
Palate has ripe black cherry, cherry jam, dusty blackberry, light cedar notes, smoked and charred meats, dry earth and a very sappy finish that runs very long. Tannins are in a beautiful spot right now, they do not get in the way of the beautifully complex flavors, but just a gentle complement. Future bottles can be 2021-23. — 5 years ago
