Vej is not subtle about its affiliation with Orange. This sees a full 90 days of skin contact and reminds me of an equally polarizing wine - Ageno from La Stoppa. I believe they are both made from the same unique grape (unique from Malvasia at that).

If you like orange, if you like juicy hazy IPAs, if you like huge tannin, you’ll love Vej. Beautiful copper gold. Aromas of yeasty peach skin and spiced apricot. Bitter grapefruit and biscuit. — 3 years ago

Been looking forward to trying this Chilean project from the people at La Stoppa for some time; happy to report that despite being a bit brusk, this vino tinto delivers on the combination of high toned density of La Stoppa rossos and smokiness of old vine pais. — 3 years ago
